McGregor, Iowa is snuggled down the bluffs of the
Mississippi River. It is a community dedicated to the
preservation of historic value. The main street that
runs through the heart of town is lined with quaint
antique and gift shoppes, specialty foods and coffee
shoppes. It is conveniently located 70 minutes north
of Dubuque, IA, and 60 minutes south of LaCrosse,
WI (A beautiful drive down the Great River Road).
It is about two hours west of Madison, WI, and two
and a half hours from Cedar Rapids, IA. Where ever
you come from, the drive is worth it. You park your
car once, and have an entire day of strolling along
shoppes and the beautiful Mississippi.
